Technology, Inc., Pave the Way for a Broad Range of Future Products

Building on a long heritage of excellence in the consumer electronics industry, Motorola has re-entered the TV market through an alliance with Moxell Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of Proview International Holdings, Limited, one of the world's leading display manufacturers. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2004, (Jan. 8-11), Moxell will showcase a broad range of Motorola-branded high-performance video display products, which will include flat panel Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and plasma televisions.

Marketing and distribution of the new Motorola products will be handled by Moxell, under the leadership of President Rick Calacci, a longtime consumer electronics veteran. The alliance between Moxell and Motorola stems from a multi-year agreement enabling the companies to co-develop a comprehensive line of consumer electronics products carrying the Motorola brand name.

15 High-Performance Models That Establish Motorola's LCD TV Product Line

Moxell will showcase a comprehensive line of 15 sleek and powerful Motorola LCD TVs, ranging in screen sizes from 13- to 47-inches, with manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRPs) from $549.99 to $10,999.99.

Highlights include five 4:3 sets in 13-, 14- and 20-inch screen sizes, all featuring 640 x 480 pixel panels, 170 degree viewing angles and ultra high brightness. The 20-inch model GQ-A20 features a built-in DVD player and CF(TM) (CompactFlash(R)) memory card reader, and the 14-inch GQ-A14 includes a media port, optional DVD player and CF card slot. The 13-inch KA-A13 is designed for kitchen applications, and features an AM/FM receiver, built-in DVD player, and alarm clock with an included mounting bracket for placement under cabinets.

Ten widescreen models range in size from 17-inch sets, including the GQ-T17 (with built-in DVD player and CF card slot), to the 47-inch model GL-T47, featuring HDTV displays with ultra-high brightness and 170-degree viewing angles. All sets deliver superior image quality. For instance, both the 46-inch GL-T46 and 47-inch GL-T47 LCD TVs feature high-resolution, state-of-the-art panels with a high-definition display capability of native 1080p and 1920 x 1080 line resolution. All models are strikingly designed with an elegant, ultra-slim appearance that provides unmatched placement flexibility and superior image quality.

Motorola Plasma Display Monitors: Big-Screen Excitement

Sports fans and movie lovers will appreciate the power and excitement of the big screen as seen on the super-slim Motorola 42-inch HDTV and EDTV plasma monitors. The PG-H42 (MSRP: $5,999.99) is a premier HDTV monitor, featuring a 1024 x 768 high-definition pixel panel. Designed for unmatched performance and custom installation flexibility, it delivers 1000 cd/m2 brightness, along with an exceptional 3000:1 contrast ratio.

The enhanced definition (EDTV) PD-S42 (MSRP: $3,499.99) features an 852 x 480 pixel panel, with 640 cd/m2 brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Thanks to its advanced progressive scan imaging technologies, the PD-S42 provides a smoother picture and less flicker than conventional interlaced SDTV signals.
