Hicyclo Launches Electric-Assisted 'Pedicab' Service.

The Korea Times reported last week that Korean firm Hicyclo has introduced a new service that utilizes electric-assisted "pedicabs" to transport passengers between Chongdong Theater and City Hall in central Seoul.

According to the Times, the three-wheel pedicabs, which are able to travel as fast as 10 miles per hour and carry two adult passengers, are primarily powered by the driver, but feature a small electric motor to assist on hills.

The Times noted that the pedicabs are regulated the same as conventional taxis.
