Hibs claim point on Butcher bow; SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP.

TERRY BUTCHER enjoyed a positive start to his HIBERNIAN reign by claiming a point from his first match in charge against ST MIRREN.

The new Easter Road boss would have been pleased to see his side end a run of four defeats.

CELTIC struck twice in injury-time through sub Derk Boerrigter and Kris Commons to beat ABERDEEN at Parkhead. Commons had opened the scoring, before Niall McGinn levelled in firsthalf stoppage time.

MOTHERWELL strikers John Sutton and Henri Anier were on target again to inflict defeat on KILMARNOCK and leave their hosts stuck in the relegation play-off spot.

Gary Mackay-Steven (two), Aaron Muirhead and Andrew Robertson scored as DUNDEE UNITED thumped PARTICK THISTLE, who replied via Aaron Muirhead and had Conrad Balatoni and Stuart Bannigan sent off.

Billy McKay grabbed the winner as INVERNESS CT beat ST JOHNSTONE.

Ryan Stevenson hit a late equaliser for HEARTS as they drew with ROSS. Callum Paterson was also on target, with Graham Carey and Melvin De Leeuw replying for County, who had Richard Brittain sent off.
