HiT Software introduces updated ODBC and OLE DB connectivity products for IBM DB2.
HiT Software Inc has introduced the newest release of a family of ODBC and OLE DB connectivity products optimised for the IBM (NYSE:IBM) DB2 v9 environment, the specialist in database access, integration and replication said on Tuesday.
HiT said its ODBC and OLE DB products now offer full compatibility with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008, enabling developers and programmers to capitalise on Microsoft's features for data scalability and application development, making them available to IBM DB2 v.9 systems.
The products offer the following features: use of native IBM protocols; non-invasive software installation; support for secure data transmission; toolsets for diagnostic and monitoring activities; as well as Developer Editions with source code examples.
In addition, both ODBC and OLE DB support full SQL functionality, including pooling and connection load management, stored procedures, multiple result sets, multi-threading, ODBC level 3.x conformance and error reporting.
No pricing details were disclosed.
