Hertz selects programme to increase online bookings.
An affiliate marketing programme has been selected by Hertz Rent-A-Car, a car rental organisation, in order to increase the level of its Internet bookings across Europe.
Hertz has opted to use the European affiliate network from TradeDoubler, a provider of online marketing and sales solutions in Europe, to improve its online presence across five markets. Hertz will advertise on thousands of European websites in an attempt to increase its brand appeal and online rental bookings, as the Christmas travel period approaches.
The affiliate programme has been integrated into Hertz's main marketing strategy and TradeDoubler's scalable tracking technology will inform Hertz of which sites and leads generate the most traffic and produce the most bookings.
Hertz has worked with TradeDoubler in Spain for the last two years, developing and testing online marketing activities and said it experienced a substantial increase in traffic to the local website. It now seeks to raise awareness and attract new customers across its European online business and expects to benefit from TradeDoubler's network of publishers and the return on investment from the tracking capabilities provided.
