Heroes AND Zeroes; FROM DRUNKEN PUNCH-UPS TO TV ROWS, HERE'S OUR 2007 SHOWBIZ GONGS FOR THE..

Byline: By PAUL MARTIN Ireland's No1 Showbiz Writer

THERE were plenty of heroes and more than a few zeroes in 2007 - another action-packed year in the Irish showbiz world.

From model wars to celebrity bust-ups our biggest stars have been making the headlines - often for all the WRONG reasons.

So we're going to leave all the highbrow honours like best album and top songwriter to the Meteor.

Instead the Irish Daily Mirror unveils our annual showbiz roll of honour and shame. From punch-ups to drunk-downs - these are the gongs that really matter.

TOP TOTTY: GRAINNE SEOIGE

JOE O'Shea is a lucky, lucky man. Sitting next to stunning Grainne every day must be the best job in Ireland.

The brunette babe has men drooling every afternoon over her great curves and glamorous looks.

FLOP STAR OF THE YEAR: ANDREA CORR

ANDREA has it all - the looks, the body and the money. But there was one big thing missing from her debut solo album this year - a hit single.

The star's much hyped Ten Feet High album failed to make an impact in the UK charts - with two single releases barely scraping in to the top 40.

It looks like Andrea may be reuniting the Corrs in 2008 in her bid to conquer the charts once again.

BEST BOOTY: NADINE COYLE

SHE'S been criticised for being too skinny - but gorgeous Nadine Coyle has had us all rear-ly excited about her fine behind throughout 2007.

The Derry stunner isn't scared of showing off her booty either - as this picture from a recent gig shows. There's no danger of Nadine ever hitting a bum note with us.

TOP COMEBACK KINGS: BOYZONE

THE comeback was rumoured for the past two years and 2007 finally saw Boyzone return to the stage.

Ronan Keating finally jumped back on board the Boyzone express to book his place on a tour in 2008, which will net the band around EUR2million each.

It isn't a wonder they want to get back together with money like that on the table.

BEST BENDER: JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS

JONATHAN we salute you - only a true drinking great could wrestle this title from Shane MacGowan.

Meyers hit the sauce big time during a weekend visit to Dublin in November.

He appeared looking in great shape on the Tubridy Tonight show - but less that 24 hours later he was arrested at Dublin Airport and charged with public drunkenness.

Meyers slouched to the ground at check-in and had to be helped to his feet by other passengers. He was promptly scooped up by the gardai and taken to the local cop shop. Stick to the water next time, Jonathan.

TOP SHOWBIZ COUPLE: BRIAN AND DELTA

IT'S hard to believe it was only two years ago that Brian McFadden split with fame-addict Kerry Katona.

Now he's bagged one of the best catches in the pop industry.

Brian and Delta have become one of the most stable and loving couples in celebrity land - and they capped the romance by getting engaged. I can't wait for the wedding invite!

TOP TV STAR: LORRAINE KEANE

ANY girl that brings showbiz to the masses every night is all right by me!

Sexy Lorraine Keane has enjoyed a fantastic year as the presenter of TV3's XPose - all while she juggles the duties of being a mum of two.

You've got to hand it to Lorraine for sexing up the screens every night at 6pm with a deluge of celebrity gossip.

Now that's what you really call a yummy mummy!

BEST BUST-UP: BRENDAN O'CONNOR AND KEITH DUFFY

YOU'RE A Star favourite Brendan nearly got Duff-ied up when he started a blazing row with Boyzone star Keith.

The pair were debating which contestants to put through to the final when things got spicy.

Brendan lit Keith's fuse when he accused him of being a big girl. Duffy promptly ran after him on set and threatened to give him a good whack.

Security had to leap in to keep them apart - I dread to think what will happen between them over the next three months.
