Hero cop charged.

A police officer hailed a hero is due in court tomorrow accused of crashing two cars after a promotion party.

Pc Ian Fielding, named bravest officer in the country in 2003, faces six motoring offences.

The Kidderminster-born father-of-two was praised by Tony Blair for rugby-tackling a gunman after a high speed chase in Worcester in 2000. But married Pc Fielding (43) is accused of sparking a police chase. He faces two counts of drink driving, one of driving without due care and attention, failing to report an accident, taking a vehicle without consent and failing to stop for police.
