Here's one of Alice being born on CCTV; Hospital gives mum video of her doorstep delivery.
DESPERATE mum-to-be Caroline Meech gave birth in a hospital foyer after a last-minute dash.
And now hospital staff have given her and husband Mike CCTV film of the delivery as an unusual keepsake.
Carolinemadeitthroughthe hospital's front door but could go no further. The 32-year-old gave birth to baby Alice in the entrance - with each push opening the hospital's automatic doors.
Caroline, a mum-of-three, said: "It wasn't how I planned it. The midwives had to ask me to move becauseeverytimeIpushed,the automatic door opened.
"The CCTV is nice to have - but we've had an edited version made because there are bits I wouldn't want people to see.
"Maybe we will give it to Alice on her 18th birthday."
Caroline and Mike had raced fromtheirhomenearSouthampton to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. Alice Harriet weighed in at 8lb 3oz.
JaniePearman,headof midwifery, said: "It was certainly an unusual delivery, but mum and baby are safe and well."
