Hendo is no certainty.

DARTS JOHN HENDERSON has few good memories of the Alexandra Palace stage where he faces a serious test against Finland's Marko Kantele in round one of the William Hill World Championship, writes Steve Davies.

Kantele came back onto the radar in 2017 with four wins on the Nordic-Baltic tour and certainly won't be fazed taking on Hendo, whose record at the Palace is one win in five visits.

Expect a drawn-out affair where it could pay to sell Big John's checkout supremacy at eight. On his run to the Grand Prix semis in October, the Scot managed just one three-figure checkout. Kantele, as the outsider, will doubtless have to ping some decent outshots to stay in the game and it's worth backing him to do so.
