Helping the fight against child poverty; LETTERS.
Children born in Wales are more likely to be living below the poverty line than their peers in the rest of the UK and cuts in welfare benefits are affecting children from the most impoverished families.
The charity sector has also had some tough times to deal with this year. Funding cuts have meant that we have had to make sure that our money is stretched to reach as many people as possible.
In the face of this harsh reality, our supporters across Wales have all responded magnificently to ensure that we can continue to support as many vulnerable children and young people as possible.
I would like to thank all those who support us - volunteers, donors and fundraisers - for the part they play in making our work possible and help turn young lives around.
Please continue to support Barnardo's Cymru in 2013 whether by shopping at one of our stores, fundraising for us or making a gift to the charity.
I wish you Season's Greetings and a Happy New Year.
Yvonne Rodgers, Director Barnardo's Cymru
