Help this charity, urges footy chief.

England captain John Terry is encouraging children from the North East to take part in a football-based charity appeal.

The Chelsea and England centre-half is hoping as many children as possible will take part in Kick for Clic Sargent, the football fundraising event.

Last year, more than 4,000 children from the North East managed to raise pounds 14,600 and the charity is hoping more children will help to raise even more money this year.

Organised by local schools and clubs, Kick for Clic Sargent events run throughout May and June and encourage young people to be active by getting them involved in penalty shoot-outs, skills classes and tournaments for which they are sponsored.
