Help raise bench cash.

A FUNDRAISING night will be held at a Thornaby pub to raise money for a bench in memory of a much-loved regular who died aged 90.

Amelia Cameron -known as Mealie -attended her local, The Jolly Farmers, for 73 years before her death on November 15 last year.

The event will feature live music from local band Blujam, bingo, raffles and optional fancy dress, with some regulars attending in pyjamas.

It is hoped the event will help raise about pounds 300 to buy a memorial bench and plaque for Mealie. The fun starts at 7.30pm on February 19 and all are welcome.
