Help needed for village switch-on.

Plans are well under way for Slaithwaite's Christmas lights display. The switch-on is scheduled for December 2, but Slaithwaite Community Association is appealing for help. Chairman Janet Jobber said: "We have plenty of lights to put up, including some new displays. It's not too late for people to join in the preparations. We really do need more to help." A lights working party will meet at the Community Centre at 11am on Saturday , 1pm on Sunday and on November 19 and 20. Volunteers can ring Janet Jobber on 01484 843071 or Susan Fell on 01484 843562.
