Byline: By Lori CampbellA MASSIVE world aid effort for survivors of the tsunami disaster was finally taking effect last night.
As Scotland joined prayers around the globe, one week after the catastrophe,UN humanitarian chief Jan Egeland said: 'The assis-tance is becoming increasingly effective in all of the countries.'
British troops may also be sent to aid stricken Indian Ocean countries, Downing Street revealed.
