Help for number crunchers.

Lotus 1-2-3 and Microsoft Excel may be the most popular spreadsheets for ordinary number crunchers, but for hard-core analysts who have to piece together many separate spreadsheets, the hands-down favorite program is Sinper Corp.'s TM/1 Spreadsheet Connector.

The program, actually a database spreadsheet, eliminates the need to laboriously consolidate multiple spreadsheets by cutting and pasting them into a master spreadsheet--a burden often faced by financial analysts who must deal with many corporate subsidiaries or divisions.

TM/1 treats the spreadsheet numbers the way a database does, storing them in different fields that can be updated, sorted and viewed in many ways. TM/1 is network-compatible. The price of TM/1 is $985 for up to five users and $34,995 for a maximum 50-user corporate version.
