Help for Germans with PFI finance; Dealmakers in association with Deloitte.

NORTH East law firm Dickinson Dees has advised German bank Norddeutsche Landesbank, of Hanover, on its participation in the financing of a PFI housing scheme in Yorkshire.

Dickinson Dees was selected on the basis of the firm's experience and expertise in the housing project finance arena, showcased by previous projects for Nationwide, Abbey and Barclays.

The team was led by partner Russell Jarvis, an expert in project finance, and also involved expertise drawn from the firm's projects, housing, construction and banking practice.

The work was with Leeds Independent Living Accommodation Company to provide 73 properties for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in Leeds.

This is one of two schemes that Dickinson Dees has been involved with in Yorkshire recently, the second being advising the Co-operative Bank in the continuing provision of pounds 34m debt funding for the Hull Local Improvement Finance Trust initiative.

"Both initiatives will have a direct impact on the quality of healthcare facilities provided to residents in Leeds and Hull,' said Mr Jarvis.

"The schemes support some of the most vulnerable residents in the region."
