Hellfire is so scary.. it's on TV.

ONE of the scariest places in the world is right here in Ireland.

Visitors to the Hellfire Club in the Dublin Mountains have been reporting spooky, paranormal activities for over 200 years.

But now an American television company is to feature the ruined castle in its series of the world's most scary locations.

Ireland's number one "ghost buster" Sandra Ramdhaine is compiling a list of stories and sightings on the historical site.

The Dublin-based psychic told the Irish Mirror: "Many people have had their own experiences or know people who have seen unusual things up there.

"Many say they would never go near the place again after things they've seen or heard.

"Wealthy young lads used to use the castle as a place to drink, gamble and bring their ladies for a bit of fun.

"It was kind of the Temple Bar of the 17th and 18th centuries."

Members of the lodge are also supposed to have taken part in horrific and ritualistic practices.

Devil-worshipping and regular animal sacrifices are said to have taken place on the grounds.

And folklore states locals who passed the club while it was in session were dragged in and forced to participate.

Few survived the night but if they did were so warped they wandered in blindness for the rest of their days.
