Helen's in heaven; TRIaTHlOn.

HELEN JENKINS charged to victory in the Hyde Park women's triathlon - and closed in on her London Olympics dream.

The Welsh wonder took the lead at the start of the running finale and romped home seven seconds clear of American Gwen Jorgensen to meet the criteria for a Team GB 2012 spot.

It puts Jenkins, 27, in fourth place after five of the series' seven races.

She is now the clear favourite to be picked for her home Olympics next summer.

The race served as a dry run for the Olympic course, which will see athletes pounding surrounding streets.

Jenkins crossed the line in 2hrs 34secs, ahead of fellow Brits Jodie Stimpson in 14th, Vicky Holland 17th, Non Stanford 38th and Kerry Lang 51st.
