Heir Apparent holds talks with Tunisian officials.


HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met the president of Tunisia's National Constituent Assembly Mustapha Ben Jafar at the assembly's headquarters in Bardo yesterday.

They reviewed bilateral relations and ways of promoting them in various fields.

The Heir Apparent also met the Chief of Staff of the Armed forces in Tunisia General Rachid Ammar at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defence yesterday.

They discussed aspects of the co-operation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them, especially in the military field.

Later, the Heir Apparent left Tunisia, concluding on a two-day official visit to the country.

He was seen off at Tozeur-Nafta International Airport by the Tunisian prime minister, Sameer Ruhim, Governor of the City of Tozeur, a number of Ministers and Sd Nasser al-Hamidi, Qatar's Ambassador to Tunisia.

The Heir Apparent sent cables of thanks to the Tunisian President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki and Prime Minister Jebali in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality he and the accompanying delegation received during the visit.
