Heavy toll of 2 breakfasts a day for Dan.

Byline: IAN FLETCHER

BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker says he is piling on the pounds with two breakfasts a day.

The TV host, 40, wakes just after 3am and said he had peanut butter on toast before the 6am show.

And the dad-of-three, who has fronted the show for two years, tucks into his second breakfast later.

Dan, who also hosts Football Focus, said: "A double breakfast is required when you get up so early. An extra meal a day over a long period of time means an extra few inches on the waist.

"I have already sent one suit to the charity shop."

He told Waitrose Weekend magazine: "Early starts do strange things to you. If I end up doing this job for long I worry I'll be 25st and a have a face like Skeletor."
