Heavy rains kill 5, destroyed houses in Shabqadar.

CHARSADDA -- Heavy showers of stormy rain have damaged many houses in Tehsil Shabqadar of district Charsadda. According to details, five people were killed including two children and a woman while three injured. Shayan son of Liaqat-aged 10 from Kangra, Muhammad son of Pervez-aged 4 from Batgram Sehra Korona, Said Umar son of Sobat from Tela Korona, Bakht Bibi wife of Said Umer and Bilal son of Murad from Tela Korona are among the deceased.
A wife and a husband and their nephew are among the dead persons. Roof tops of dozens of houses were uprooted. Communication system was badly hampered as various electric and telephones poles were uprooted. Because of heavy rain, the prolonged power outage took place. Traffic system and crops were badly damaged.
Similarly, Negotiations ended in a success between Kissan Board-farmers' association and Lakson Tobacco. As per details, the board agreed to the demands of the farmers and the purchase points would be opened till 15th December 2015. Formerly, the board would purchase only ten per cent of the tobacco from the farmers while reject the rest of the 90%.
They had reduced the purchase of bundles from 400 daily quota to 15-20 bundles only. Assistant Commissioner (AC) Noor Wali Khan played a key role in settling the dispute among the farmers and the board. He directed the board to be friendlier towards the farmers. The negotiations were held between the Area Manager of Lakson Tobacco Board Abdul Wahid, Rizwan Ahmad, Qaizar Ahmad and Abdul Akbar Khan, Niamat Ullah, Anwar Khan, Muhammad Ayaz, and Ajmal from the farmers. The farmers' board cordially lauded the services of AC Charsadda and thanked him for his vital role in arriving at a consensus.
