Heavey pays tribute to 'feisty' Sacratini.

Paul Heavey, the man who brought Vezio Sacratini to the Cardiff Devils, fears that decision may count against him tonight. The former Devils coach brings his Sheffield Steelers to Cardiff for the latest Elite League play-off knowing Sacratini will be a key figure.

'He used to get called the rat because he always caused a plague of problems for the team he was playing against,' said Heavey.

'Other guys hated playing against him.

'It was great when he was playing for you, because he would wind guys up.

'And that is what he's been doing with Dion Darling in our two play-off group games against the Devils.

'Vez is a tremendous competitor. He is no spring chicken and yet came third top point scorer in the league.

'He's probably been in the top three every year since he's been here.

"A tremendous face-off player and for a small man very feisty.

'He basically gets on guys nerves and if you are not smart enough, guys will bite, and maybe take a dumb penalty over him.'
