Heat resistant EPDM. (Materials).

Increased under-the-hood temperatures and extended service life warranties are said to have created a demand for materials that are resistant to extremely high temperatures (over 150[degrees]C). A proprietary heat stabilizer system for EPDM, HT (heat resistant technology), has been developed. The company's Buna EP HT is said to extend the performance limits of many applications where EPDM is currently used, especially those in dry conditions. This development is said to improve heat resistance in applications like belts, hoses, engine mounts, etc. (Bayer, Rubber Business Group, 2603 W Market St., P.O. Box 3001, Akron, OH 44313)
