Healthy Eagles ready to take down PaE-a and new coach Euzen.

ySTANBUL (CyHAN)- Eunder Euzen is going out to his first match as coach of KasympaE-a this weekend and it will not be the easiest of trials, as the struggling side hosts championship contender BeE-iktaE- in its Spor Toto Super League week 27 encounter on Saturday.

KasympaE-a had been looking for a new trainer since mid-March when Shota Arveladze resigned after the team lost to Torku Konyaspor.

BeE-iktaE-'s prolific Demba Ba hit PaE-a for two points when the teams last met in week 10. Shota Arveladze was the coach then, and the team's position has not changed for the better since. PaE-a is now in 13th place compared to its 11th place standing when it last met the Black Eagles.

The Eagles were then league leader, whereas they are now in third place behind ystanbul rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. This encounter will be far less difficult than a derby with one of those two, but BeE-iktaE- should not take victory for granted.

New trainer

Euzen counts as a bit of an insider source against the Eagles. His most recent position before coming to KasympaE-a was a year-long stint as football director at BeE-iktaE-.

Prior to that he has been assistant coach and A2 coach at Fenerbahce, coach of Hacettepe and Polatly Buy-E-aE-spor and youth coach at EskiE-ehirspor. He is also a well-known commentator in Turkey. But he has never been in charge of training one of the big teams.

As a new coach, Euzen will be trying to prove his worth, his ability to lead the club through hard matches as well as the easy. PaE-a is in desperate need of a victory to boost its flagging spirits. Since Shota left last month, there have been just two league matches, both of which KasympaE-a lost: 2-3 to Galatasaray at home and 5-2 to Genclerbirliy-i in Ankara.

In this state, Euzen's KasympaE-a will be hard-pressed to upset BeE-iktaE-, whose coach also needs to see a victory, but for a very different reason.

"There are 24 points ahead of us. Our plan is to win each match," Croatian coach Slaven Bilic said. "BeE-iktaE- has been experiencing a lull since 2009. I do not know why this is, but we are going to contest [for the title] until the very end.

Eagles in a funk

Senegal striker Demba Ba has also not been himself just lately, which may make him the Eagles' biggest weak spot on Saturday, although he is normally the most dangerous.

"Some players experience lulls. Except for Messi and Ronaldo, such periods happen to everyone and they do affect the team," Bilic said. "We have played nearly 50 matches. Some players naturally get injured, but thankfully we are working with a full team right now," he added.

That is a very rare thing for BeE-iktaE-, which has had consistently poor luck with injuries over the past few years, which may partially explain their poor standing in recent seasons.

With a full team and a recently rearranged opponent, there really is no excuse for the Black Eagles to lose, unless PaE-a come up with a nasty surprise for them.

The match kicks off at 7 p.m. in KasympaE-a and Mustafa Kamil Abitoy-lu will be officiating. Earlier in the day, Kardemir KarabE-kspor, which is almost certainly relegation fodder for next year, will host Ankara side Genclerbirliy-i at 4 p.m.
