Health walk in Sikeside launched.

A new health walk will be launched in Sikeside on Saturday.

The free, hour-long event begins at 11am from Calder community centre and is suitable for participants of all abilities, ages and fitness.

Walks will take place on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.

Booking is not required and the walk is open to all; participants are asked to wear suitable shoes and dress for the weather.

The regular Sikeside walk is organised by Get Walking Lanarkshire in partnership with Woodhall, Faskine and Palacecraig conservation group, and more details are available by emailing getwalking lanarkshire@northlan.gov.uk or by calling 01698 402077 or 07903 358424.

An online map has been created by walking charity Paths for All to show the regular organised health walks across Monklands.
