Health vaccinators given over 1600 android mobile phones.

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department and Expended Program of Immunization (EPI) has handed over android phone to the health vaccinators to strengthen and monitor the routine immunization campaign and other childhood disease in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Around 1600 android mobile phone were handed over to 1400 health vaccinators including supervisors to monitor the routine immunization in the province.
Talking to The Frontier Post Secretary health Abid Majeed said that the new technology will help to strengthen the routine immunization including polio and other child hood disease.
The field staff could be asked to send images from their areas of activity and they will also be monitor while doing their duties in immunization campaigns, Majeed added.
He further added that soon all the vaccinator will get training about the new software, adding that because of the new technology the location of the vaccinator will also be identified that either they were working in the field.
The secretary said that the electronic vaccination is exclusively meant to scale up immunization for all nine childhood diseases.
