Health monitor: Revealed: the stars' last-minute Oscar-winning exercises.

Byline: Michele Kirsch, Anna Gizowska and Nathalie Gibbins

With only eight days to go to the Oscars, Hollywood fitness trainer to the stars, Raphael Picaud, lets us in on his Tinseltown trim and tuck tips. Well, you didn't think the Oscars were about films, did you?

l Nicole Kidman: for curvy calves

`Fast cardiovascular exercise - running, cycling, walking - for two weeks up to the big day is excellent for building up Nicole's slim pins.'

l Julia Roberts: for perfect pose

`Being long and lean, Julia needs to enhance her height and posture by elongating her spine and bringing her ribcage forward. This makes her stand taller and look and feel better.'

l Angelina Jolie: for mega cleavage

`Treadmill walking (on a decline for large breasts, on an incline for teeny bazookas) and light push-ups on the day to tone flabby areas by the side of the breasts will amplify Angelina's assets.'

l Drew Barrymore: for a super-flat tum

`Side ab crunches, cutting down on carbs, fruit and veg, eating more proteins and drinking plenty of water will ensure Drew has no tummy bulges.'

l Gwyneth Paltrow: for toned triceps

`Working the muscles at the top of her shoulders tones the backs of Gwynnie's arms. Push-ups or light weights for ten days with a five-day rest before the big night, so that the muscles don't look overworked.'

l Halle Berry - for a bootylicious bum

`For extra pertness and less width, squats and backward leg lunges two days before are wonderful for plumping up a flatter butt.'

l Penelope Cruz - to walk tall

`Back exercises with light weights help to straighten Ms Cruz's posture and make her seem taller.'
