FLUSHABLE sanitary towels and panty-liners are the latest "green" product to hit the shelves. You're not supposed to flush most sanitary products down the toilet, but these are biodegradable and disperse in water.

The makers claim the new cellulose-based towels are resistant to menstrual fluid but disperse naturally in water.

They cost pounds 1.69 for a box of 12 towels and pounds 1.79 for 30 panty-liners. They are available from Superdrug, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and John Lewis. Call 01480 466 648 for mail order.

THREE new herbal teas make a refreshing change from the usual spiced apple and chamomile. Energy Plus contains a herb called rooibos which tastes like traditional tea but is caffeine-free, low in tannins and high in anti-oxidants. It also contains ginseng to give you a boost.

To improve your concentration, try the guarana tea from the Amazon, which is high in caffeine. To wind down, have a cup of Kava Kava tea, known for its sedative properties.

The three new teas are the latest additions to the Dr Stuart's Botanical range of herbal teas. Available in health-food shops, they cost pounds 1.45 for a box of 20. Call 01403 251972.

THE Pelvic Toner is designed to help you strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, which can get out of shape, particularly after childbirth, the menopause or a hysterectomy.

It is designed primarily to help women with urinary incontinence, but it can also improve your sex life, by toning the muscles used in love-making. The exercises take 10 minutes a day. At pounds 69.95 the Pelvic Toner is not cheap and is only available by mail order from Natural Woman. Call 0117 946 6649 or visit www.natural-woman.com/incontinence.htm
