Health Ministry and Lions Clubs International District 414 Tunisia ink agreement to improve health services.
(TAP) - An agreement was signed on Saturday between the Health Ministry and the Lions Clubs International District 414 Tunisia.
The agreement provides for reinforcing partnership between the two sides to promote the services provided by the various health services across the country.
In a statement to TAP, Lions Clubs International District 414 Governor Ammar Amri said the agreement, which spans a renewable year, aims to support the Health Ministry's efforts to develop and improve health services in all public health facilities across the country.
"An action plan will be developed according to the priorities and needs of the health map and will include the creation or rehabilitation of health centres, the organisation of awareness-raising actions and the distribution of new sanitary equipment to improve the screening in health centres and access to health services in all regions of the country," he pointed out.
In this regard, the association gave the Ministry ophthalmological consultation equipment worth 200 thousand dinars which will be distributed to the various school medicine centres across the country.
In addition, Amri said that under the terms of this agreement, the association will allocate to the Charles Nicole hospital in Tunis haemodialysis equipment for children worth about 300 thousand dinars by January 2018.
