SPORTS CLUB LA/BEVERLY HILLS
Are you ravenous after a fab ab workout? Nanette Patee Francini, co-owner of the Sports Club-LA empire, sure hopes so. She's teamed with Los Angeles restaurateur Mario Oliver (owner of Hollywood hotspot Linq) to launch the Linq Cafe in her mega-gym launching in September 2003. You'll enter the stunning 20,000 square-foot club (across from Barney's), and pass tropical gardens, waterfalls and maybe an eyeful of members Tom Cruise, Kevin Spacey and Halle Berry. The club will offer 12 different styles of yoga and house eastern murals, bamboo flooring and soundproofed walls. The membership line is up-and-running, so call 310-888-8100.
In Gotham, Francini first hooked up with restaurateur Drew Nieporent, owner of Layla and Montrachet. "Our food partners are as dedicated and inspired about food as we are about exercise," says Francini. The cafe will feature high-end, low-fat spa cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Be On The Look-Out: The Miami launch of Sports Club/LA on Brickell Avenue--also September 2003--will have 180-degree views of Biscayne Bay and share a pool, sun deck and eatery with the Four Seasons next door.
