Healey & Baker forms venture with Mitsubishi Trust & Bank.

The first agreement between European and Japanese Real Estate Consultants was announced this week. Healey & Baker and the Mitsubishi Trust & Banking Corporation have agreed a joint initiative to assist clients in Europe and Japan.

According to Paul Orchard-Lisle, senior partner of Healey & Baker, the venture will "bring a unique depth of market knowledge to clients operating on a global basis. Mitsubishi are particularly well placed to introduce Japanese investors interested in Europe. We are now able to deal with European real estate on a totally international basis.

"It also means," he said, "that those European clients interested in Japan, either as occupiers or investors will have the benefit of working with Japan's leading estate consultants."

The development follows the North American initiative Healey & Baker took with Cushman & Wakefield two years ago.

The agreement, under which each firm retains the ability to act independently of the other, will be managed by Bryan Laxton from Healey & Baker together with a senior member of The Mitsubishi Trust & Banking Corporation.
