Hazaras hold peaceful demonstration in city

KABUL (PAN): Despite warnings by the National Directorate of Security (NSD) demonstration by the Hazara minority to protest Kuchis for land grabbing in the central Afghanistan began in this capital on Tuesday morning.
Remonstration was expected by the pro Hazara tribe from Behsud district of Maidan Wardak province on a longstanding dispute with Kuchis over land on which both side claim ownership.
Numbering to thousands the protestors besides pictures of late Abdul Ali Mazari former Hezb-e-Wahdat party leader and Haji Muhaqeq an MP in the Afghan parliament carried corpses of those relatives that were murdered in the recent Hazara-Kuchi conflict in Maidan Wardak province.
Protestors rallied to the UN office in the capital city.
Demonstration is held only two days after President Hamid Karzai ordered evacuation of the Kuchis from areas they had captured from Hazaras in the central Afghanistan.
NDS spokesman Saeed Ansari in a press conference on Monday night called on Hazaras that the situation had improved in Behsud district following the decree by President Hamid Karzai and that there was no need for any demonstrations.
He had also warned of elements attempting for sabotaging the peaceful demonstration.
He had warned organizers of the protest would be held responsible for any possible violence raised during the protest. The demonstration has so far been very peaceful and there is no report of violence in this course as tight security had been adopted in the city.
A suicide bomber blew up himself leaving three civilians wounded in south of the city today morning.
Protestors were chatting slogans we want justice and implementation pf the constitution relating to Kuchis.
