Hawaiian Airlines introduces Honolulu-Manila non-stop flight.
Non-stop flights have been introduced between Honolulu, Hawaii and Manila, Philippines, by Hawaiian Airlines, with the first flight departing from Honolulu on 14 April and the first return flight due to arrive from Manila at 11:15 local time on 17 April in Honolulu.
The airline said Manila is its first gateway city into Asia, with the new service reportedly making the airline the only US carrier to provide non-stop service between Honolulu and Manila and more than doubling capacity on the route.
The airline is operating the new route using its wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, which seat up to 264 passengers and provide window or aisle seating for up to 86% of passengers using its 2-3-2 seating configuration.
Flight 455 will depart Honolulu International Airport at 12:30 local time on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving at 17:15 local time at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, the following day.
The return flight 456 will depart at 19:00 local time from Manila on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving at 11:15 local time, the same day, in Honolulu, with flights taking no more than ten hours.
Hawaiian is offering an introductory roundtrip fare of USD499, plus fees and taxes, for coach class seating, between Honolulu and Manila, for travel purchases through 31 May 2008, made via the airline's website or phone reservations.
The airline is providing its Hawaii Starts Here in-flight service featuring a choice of complimentary hot meals in coach class and a tasting menu for first class passengers.
