Hawaii: a Guide to All the Islands.

Hawaii A GUIDE TO ALL THE ISLANDS

It's our travel best-seller

Why is this the most popular of Sunset's 21 travel guidebooks? For one thing, Sunset readers can't seem to get enough of the Islands. A recent survey showed that 70 percent of subscribers had vacationed in Hawaii. That is why we regularly report on the state in the magazine. In its 176 pages, Hawaii: A Guide to All the Islands (Lane Publishing Co., Menlo Park, Calif., 1984, updated 1988; $10.95) provides comprehensive tips on where to go and what to do, with more than a hundred color photographs capturing the variety of destinations and cultural experiences found on each of Hawaii's six main islands. The book also contains detailed touring maps to help you explore on your own, along with 33 special features covering specific activities and locations--from whale-watching and finding the perfect wave to helicopter tours and driving tips. Recreation guides are included at the end of each island chapter.
