Have they got truth for you? TV Choice Would I Lie to You? (BBC1, 9pm).

After a successful 12-year run as presenter of Have I Got News For You, many thought Angus Deayton's career was over when he was fired following a round of embarrassing revelations about his personal life in the tabloid press.

However, it didn't take him long to get back on the proverbial horse, hosting shows such as Hell's Kitchen and Bognor or Bust, before landing the job of presenting this comedy panel show last year.

It's obviously familiar ground for Deayton and his caustic sense of humour seems to have served him well once more, so much so that the Beeb commissioned this second, slightly longer, run, which will see the host return alongside team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack.

For those who missed it the first time around, the gist of the show revolves around two teams of celebrity panellists trying to fool their opponents with absurd facts and plausible lies as they attempt to distinguish truth from fiction.

The first batch of celebrity guests for this new series are sports presenter Gabby Logan, newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy, comedian Rob Brydon and Mitchell's Peep Show co-star Robert Webb.
