Have a cuppa and aid cancer charity.

I AM writing to encourage your readers to hold a Great British Tea Break to raise money for the Lymphoma Association, a charity that provides free information and support to anyone affected by lymphatic cancer.

People who organise a fundraising tea break from September 1 to December 31 will then be entered into a draw whose prize is to join me for tea in a top London hotel.

As someone who has directly experienced lymphatic cancer, I know of the physical and emotional rollercoaster the disease can bring, and how patients, families, friends and carers often benefit from gaining knowledge about their diagnosis and a listening ear from someone who understands. That is where the association comes in. Without the charity, many of the 12,000 people diagnosed with lymphoma each year wouldn't be able to gain the invaluable support and information that is essential for those facing the disease.

The Great British Tea Breaks are a fantastic way of raising vital funds for our charity so that we can continue to provide our free services to anyone affected by lymphoma.

For further information about the competition please contact the Lymphoma Association's fundraising team on 01296 619419 or visit the charity's website TAMZIN OUTHWAITE, on behalf of the Lymphoma Association, PO Box 386, Aylesbury, Bucks HP20 2GA
