Hathi Group purchases two personal care units. (Industry News).

* The Hathi Group, a Chicago-based investment company, has just acquired two more beauty care businesses, San Francisco Soap and Simply Be Well. Last quarter the company acquired Sarah Michaels and Freeman Cosmetics from Dial Corp.

Both businesses, previously owned by J.B. Williams, will become part of Sarah Michaels. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Company executives stated that by the end of this calendar year, Sarah Michaels should have approximately $75 million in sales compared with $40 million last year.
