Hashish, opium seize in Landi Kotal.

LANDIKOTAL -- The political administration recovered 47 kg hashish and 25 kg from an Afghanistan returned truck here at Torkham road of Tehsil Landi Kotal.

The political Tehsildar Shams-ul-Islam told that on secret information that narcotics would be smuggled from Afghanistan to Pakistan via Torkham border, a special Khasadar party under his supervision was comprised that stopped Peshawar bound truck holding registration no.GLT-3208 for checking. During search 47 kg hashish and 25 kg opium were recovered, hided in various sections of the vehicle. One drug peddler identified as Yar Mohammad, resident of Zakah Khel of Landi Kotal was detained and was put behind the bars for investigation, the official told.
