Has Tom thrown away his licence to thrill? 'Showmance' with taylor HITS bond bid.
As impromptu 007 auditions go, it could hardly have gone any worse. If Tom Hiddleston was trying to re-create Daniel Craig's trunkwearing wade in the sea, he should have tried a little bit harder.
Producers Instead, photos of him frolicking in the ocean with new girlfriend Taylor Swift believe he has gone wearing an ill-fitting, camp white vest emblazoned with "I love TS" have potentially killed off his chances of being the next James Bond.

FILM SOURCE BARBARA In fact, the British actor's relentless photo opportunities with Taylor have turned him from hero to zero in two months.
While The Night Manager actor was bookies' favourite for the 007 role in March, film insiders now believe he has been cast aside. US producer Barbara Broccoli is thought to have narrowed the field to three actors - none of whom are Tom.
A source close to her said: "Tom was massively in the frame and had a meeting with Barbara. His profile was huge in the UK and on the up in the US but now it's gone too far. Tom's association with Taylor, and the way they have conducted their relationship in such a stage-managed way, is undignified for a man set to play Bond. Producers believe he has gone from zeitgeist to parody."

But Tom is relatively new to the fame game and the way he's been making puppya dog eyes at the 26-year-old is, well, not befitting an Eton and Cambridge alumnus, Olivier award-winning 35-year-old. Celebrity publicist Gary Farrow believes that the star - who already had a US profile thanks to his role as Loki in Marvel's Thor and Avengers films - may now have scuppered his Bond ambitions.
He says: "I can't imagine Bond flouncing around in an 'I love TS' vest. The way he's been behaving is not cool and not what a serious, credible actor should do.

Jeetendr Sehdev, a professor of marketing at the University of Southern California, agrees.
He oversaw a poll of 1,500 Brits and 70% felt Taylor and Tom were more showmance than romance.
He sa struggling He says: "Savvy audiences are struggling to believe the authenticity of this pairing." Since Taylor and Tom met at New York's Met Gala in May things have, appropriately enough, moved swiftly.
It was just five weeks ago she split from her boyfriend of 15 months, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, 32. By June 15, pictures of her and Tom kissing on the beach outside her Rhode Island home made headlines.
And within days, the pair were meeting one another's parents.
First, Taylor whisked Tom off in her private jet to meet Andrea and Scott. And 36 hours later they were in Suffolk meeting his mum Diana.
In the resulting pictures, the trio made the Waltons look dysfunctional. Walking arm-in-arm-in-arm, they all but skipped down the beach. Again, not very Bond.
Taylor has previously been linked to stars including Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Harry Styles. And she's even bagged herself a Kennedy in Conor, Robert F Kennedy Jr's son. And in 2014 she had to deny reports she got super-close to Victoria's Secret pal Karlie Kloss at a The 1975 concert in New York. Now, thanks to her writing about her make-ups and break-ups, fans can't get enough of what she's up to.
But why are Taylor and Tom so keen to be quite so public? Some have speculated Taylor wants Tom as the "surprise" star in her new video. Tom is still hopeful of landing Bond off the back of his celebrated role in BBC1 hit The Night Manager. He was spotted dining with Broccoli and Bond director Sam Mendes in May. Then he started hitting the gym to bulk up.
Showbiz agent Jonathan Shalit believes he still has a chance of stepping into Daniel Craig's shoes, saying: "There is no reason to believe this relationship isn't genuine. Tom is dating one of the biggest pop stars on the planet and has gone from star to superstar in the States. He's properly A-list now, in an ideal position to be announced as the new Bond." While Tom has dated well-known women, none have been as high-profile as Taylor. His exes include actresses Kat Dennings and Susannah Fielding, and music exec Jane Arthy. Until now, he has kept under the radar with romances.
With Taylor famed for using break-ups as inspiration for her songwriting, Tom should be nervous. Until then, perhaps he should work on that audition.
