Hartford brewpub scheduled to open

The Hartford Brewery, Ltd. has announced the completion of its equity offering. Incorporated in January, 1988, the company has spent over three years brewing and test marketing 125 styles of its recipe.

According to a brewery spokesperson, proceeds from the offering will be used to establish a brewpub in Hartford Lease negotiations have been ongoing, and two sites in downtown Hartford are now under consideration. The brewery will announce site selection in a few weeks.

With regulatory approval, the brewmaster may elect to utilize the company's test-brewing equipment while awaiting the arrival of full-scale brewing vessels, allowing the taps of Hartford's first brewery in over 30 years to begin flowing in a matter of months.
