At the Wachusett Invitational Class A race (3.1 miles), he crossed in fourth in 16:33.4. At the Ocean State Invitational in September in Warwick, R.I., Maloy finished 10th in 16:26.25, as St. John's placed second to eventual Massachusetts Division 1 state champion Mansfield. Maloy, who lives in Pepperell, is the son of Christine Torigian and Jim Maloy.
