The ex-president shared banter like a "best buddy", watching America beat France at wheelchair basketball.
Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle, 36, was not there - and Harry, 33, sat next to student Hayley Stover, 18, who said: "Obama asked about her and Harry said she'd been to watch the tennis with him. He also asked if Meghan was enjoying the Games.
"Harry was really smiling when he said 'yes'. He looked really happy - it was so cute.
"Obama also asked about her filming Suits and how it was going and Harry asked about Michelle and how she was doing and sent his love." Hayley added: "It was amazing. Security asked if I'd move along because Prince Harry was going to sit there. I was like, 'sure', but thinking 'Oh, my God'."
