Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a communications and information technology company, on Friday unveiled its new, 140,000 square foot Harris Cyber Integration Centre (CIC), located in the mid-Atlantic region.

Harris' new integrated technology and service CIC is a next-generation data centre that provides cloud computing for enterprise clients with critical cyber infrastructure through a secure cloud service, in collaboration with the IT industry's market leaders.

The company said that the Harris Cyber Integration Centre was designed from the ground up to offer technology and services that are engineered to meet the highest industry and government standards for reliability and security, including NIST 800-53 High, ISO 27001, SAS 70 and compliance and automation frameworks including S-CAP, HIPAA, PCI and Sarbanes- Oxley.

In addition, the facility was awarded Tier 3 certification for high availability by the Uptime Institute, LEED Silver certification for energy and environmental efficiency and a Green IT 'Audacious Idea' award for its innovative water management and conservation system.

Harris Trusted Enterprise Cloud is a unique Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offering that enables clients to extend and enhance their IT operations, resulting in improved operational agility and reduced costs.
