Hardees, Jack in the Box promote ice cream treats.
Two popular restaurant chains are promoting special ice cream treats this summer. The Hardee's chain has introduced Orange Cream, a new limited-time offering addition to its Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shake & Malt line. According to the company, "The nostalgic blend of creamy vanilla ice cream and orange syrup conjures up memories of hot summer days when ice cream trucks carrying various frozen treats were the most common way to cool down when school was out."Orange Cream Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes & Malts are made using hand-scooped vanilla ice cream, orange-flavored syrup and milk and are served in a clear cup with a domed lid and whipped topping. Orange Cream shakes are sold for $2.89 and will be available for a limited time. Regional prices may vary.
"Our new Orange Cream Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes are delicious, and arrive just in time for the hot summer months," said Brad Haley, executive vice president of marketing for Hardee's. "Something about the sweet, citrus flavor of oranges combined with the creaminess of real hand-scooped vanilla ice cream makes this a refreshing yet decadent beverage, snack or dessert choice to combat rising temperatures."
Jack in the Box's summer ice cream promotion is its new Real Ice Cream Floats, "a delightfully cool combination of ice cream and your favorite soda." The new Real Ice Cream Floats at Jack in the Box feature the chain's signature real vanilla ice cream mixed with a choice of soda, including Barq's Root Beer, Dr Pepper, or Fanta orange. Jack's new Real ice Cream Floats are available in 16- and 24-ounce servings for the suggested prices, excluding tax, of $2.29 and $2.79, respectively, at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants.
"When the temperature rises, you want a beverage that's light, cool and thirst quenching," said Tammy Bailey, division vice president of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box. "The soda and ice cream in our floats combine to make a tasty and refreshing treat that will help you beat the heat."
