Happy birthday, Lunenburg. (Travel Tidbits).

The picturesque port of Lunenburg in Nova Scotia is marking its 250th birthday this year with a variety of special events. The 250th Anniversary weekend on June 7-8, for instance, will feature a re-enactment of the first settlers' landing back in 1753. Later in the summer comes the Founding Families Reunion, scheduled for July 10-14. And from August 14 to 17, Lunenburg Harbour will be crowded with tall ships from around the world for Sail Lunenburg 2003 (902/634 4410 or www.explorelunenburg.ca).
