Happy 69th birthday to the 'Queen of Comedy' Samia al Jazaeri.
I grew up watching Syrian actress Samia al Jazaeri in some of the most memorable comedy series on Arabic TV, and she forever left a imprint on my face as the "woman who never failed to make me laugh."
Known as the Arab world's "Queen of Comedy," this legendary comedianne turned 69 on Wednesday (November 25).
But age is just a number for someone with a young spirit like Samia's - she's still putting her acting skills to use as we speak.

What makes Samia one-of-a-kind isn't down to her brilliant acting skills alone; she's gifted with the ability to turn a funny situation into an even funnier one.
Her spontaneity, great sense of humor and wit enabled her to conquer the comedy world without competition.
How could we forget her as Duraid Lahham's hilariously cunning mother in the Syrian comedy drama "Abu El Hana"?
Or year after year as Booran Khanom in the multi-sequel series "Eilet 5 Njoom"! And don't forget (my personal favorite) starring as the nosy old neighbor in "Jamil Wa Hanaa ."

Samia, I salute you on your special day (Happy belated birthday) and ask you to never stop acting, because you bring joy to my heart and millions of others across the world.
