Hanley Wood acquires housing data provider; launches web site.

Hanley Wood (Washington, D.C.), a unit of VS&A Communications Partners III (New York), has acquired Feasinomics, Inc. (Naples, FL), Florida's leading provider of housing data and consulting services. No terms were given.

With the purchase, Hanley Wood now collects housing data in 13 of the top 25 housing markets in the U.S. Feasonomics provides information and advisory services on the new home market to builders, developers, lenders, retailers and utilities. The data is used for new home planning, design and financing, and strategic planning for housing market and infrastructure expansion.

Hanley Wood ceo Michael Wood said "since buying The Meyers Group last year, we've learned that data describing what's selling in different parts of the country is more valuable to builders and lenders than we thought." The purchase "is part of our plan to create a national footprint for our data business," Wood said.

Also, Hanley Wood E-Media has launched Replacement Contractor Online, a site devoted to the needs of professionals involved in roofing, siding, decking and windows. It will carry news and business advice from Hanley Wood's Replacement Contractor magazine, 12 other company titles and over 2700 news sources. It also carries information on over 254,000 building products and service directories. Related company sites include Builder Online, Remodeling Online and eBuild.
