Hanley Wood (Washington, D.C.) has purchased The Presidential Seminar, an event targeted to the top 100 privately held builders in the country, from Organizational Development Associates (Atlanta, GA) and company founder Martin Freedland. No terms were given. A four-day event, the seminar focuses on business management, profitability, industry trends and operational efficiencies. The 38th annual event was held this year in Aspen (CO) in February. Hanley Wood produces a range of publications and events for the building, construction and architecture sectors, including "Building Products," "Residential Architect" and "Journal of Light Construction," among others.
