Bud Industries has announced the availability of its Enclosure Design Tips Handbook. The reference guide summarizes some of the more important issues of packaging for electronic systems and products with the goal of helping users evaluate their options quickly, and then selecting the desirable product for each application. Also included is information on large and small enclosure types and the typical application for each type; accessories such as shelves, panels, handles, desktops and drawers which provide a finished appearance, add security and improve convenience and work efficiency; commonly used materials for different uses and applications; basics of cooling and the most commonly used cooling methods; typical rack dimensions and tolerance according to standard EIA-310-D; and commonly used standards such as NEMA, UL, CSA and IEC ratings, along with a list of standards associations.
