Hampton Roads Bankshares (NASDAQ: HMPR), the holding company for Bank of Hampton Roads and Shore Bank, has announced that Robert Bloxom and Lisa Lentz are joining the company's credit risk management team.
Bloxom will serve as a senior credit officer and will be responsible for working with the banks' markets in the approval of loan requests, ensuring risk ratings are correct, and helping account officers develop action plans for the credits in their portfolios. Lentz will lead the banks' efforts to streamline committee processes, enhance the tools it uses to analyse credit requests, and monitor the performance of the loan portfolios.
Bloxom, who has nearly 23 years of banking experience, currently serves as Shore Bank's chief lending officer and also manages its credit administration department. Prior to joining Shore Bank in 2006, he was the chief lending officer for Farmers & Merchants Bank-Eastern Shore, an affiliate of Mercantile Bankshares (NASDAQ: MBRK).
Lentz has been with Shore Bank since 2000 and has extensive experience as vice president of credit administration. Most recently, she was responsible for building the bank's internet banking division, and serving as the loan officer for loans originated online.
